    Transforming Patient Flow in Urgent Care

    Opto Health is an NHS-piloted digital triage and streaming platform designed to improve the speed, safety, and efficiency of urgent care services. Built by a team of multidisciplinary clinicians and developers, Opto offers a native iOS, Android and web-based solution that streamlines the patient journey from check-in to treatment. It is the only commercial MHRA-registered UKCA Class I Medical Device for clinical decision support in urgent care in the UK.

    The Challenge

    The NHS faces significant pressure from rising A&E attendances and increasing delays in emergency response, with tens of thousands of patients waiting hours for ambulances or care. Many of these visits are non-urgent, costing the system an estimated £1.4 billion annually. Traditional triage methods are resource-heavy and time-consuming, often unable to keep pace with demand.

    Our Solution

    Opto Health chose Amptech to develop and deploy a fully integrated triage platform across web, iOS, and Android. Building an advanced algorithm supporting over 400 custom clinical pathways, the system enables patients to check-in and triage within 4 minutes. The platform also supports remote health monitoring, multilingual interfaces, and seamless integration for ambulance crews and emergency departments.
